Who this session is for

This is the main consultation for an employee already in—or about to enter—a German employment probation period. It suits questions about a Probezeit clause, a two-week Kündigungsfrist, a delayed feedback meeting, performance concerns, absence, holiday plans, or uncertainty about what can happen before the six-month point.

It is not legal representation and does not replace advice from a Rechtsanwältin or Rechtsanwalt. If you want to challenge a dismissal, negotiate a settlement, or face a court deadline, we will identify that boundary promptly so you can seek qualified legal counsel.

What we do in 60 minutes

  1. Set the timeline. We mark the employment start, agreed probation end, relevant meeting dates and any notice already received.
  2. Read the wording. We review the probation, notice and related clauses you choose to share, using plain English while retaining the important German terms.
  3. Separate the issues. Contract interpretation, workplace practice and legal questions are placed in distinct columns so assumptions do not become facts.
  4. Prepare the next move. We draft questions for HR, an agenda for your manager, or a document checklist for a lawyer referral.

Within one business day, you receive a concise written action note. It records dates, discussion points and follow-up tasks; it is not a legal opinion.

Bring, prepare and protect

Bring the employment contract and any written probation feedback relevant to your question. You may redact salary, bank, tax and health details. Do not send medical records, passport copies, residence permits or unrelated personal data. Before the call, write down the outcome you need from your next conversation and the date by which you need it.

Included and excluded

The fixed fee includes a 60-minute private session, advance reading of up to 12 pages supplied at least one business day beforehand, and the written action note. Translation of a full contract, contact with your employer, formal legal assessment, works-council representation and court filings are excluded.

For longer agreements or multiple connected documents, we confirm any additional reading fee before you book. No extra work begins without your approval.

After the session

You may book a 30-minute follow-up if circumstances change or HR responds. Where the facts point to an urgent legal deadline, we will recommend contacting a German employment lawyer or trade union immediately rather than scheduling another general consultation.
